Friday Roundup #16
I apologize to readers who subscribe by email or RSS, because they haven’t received new posts for the last couple of weeks. It seems to be fixed.
Feeds now include recent comments at the bottom.
I began a series on Feeding Babies Frugally. The Early Months and Starting Solids, When and Why are already up. “Starting Solids the Easy Way” and “Make Your Own ‘Convenience Foods’ for Your Baby” will appear in the coming weeks.
Homemade tortillas are one our favorite suppers around here. Someone told me she had fun making them but I can’t remember who, so please identify yourself! And I granted my friend’s request for Homemade Pizza Dough.
A special thank-you to Leah for her guest recipe, Grilled Eggplant Dip. She wrote a post on her own blog recommending serving the main meal in the middle of the day, as practiced in many countries. I’m not sure she’s right about the health issues. I thought that eating the main meal later helps tide you over until the morning. But logistically it’s easier, especially in Israel when most kids’ activities and playdates are scheduled between 5 and 7 PM.
Kosher readers may enjoy my post on Leftovers and the Kosher Kitchen at A Mother in Israel.
See you next week!
